Our walk, Our Truth

When we look upon revelation as being credible only if confirmed by the bible then are we not questioning the very words of the Bible? When we read the books that Paul wrote, these very teachings are revelation. We also read several times that the Bible has mysteries, in the writings it makes that clear. It talks that Jesus did more than could possibly be written in a book, what are these mysteries, these thing He did? Why are they not there?

Paul tells us directly that he was not taught by man but through the revelations he got from Jesus. Jesus who had ascended and was now as He is in Spirit. Are we now to believe that no other man can be influenced by Jesus? The Spirit if Jesus? That He couldn’t do that through all of us? Do we sit down with the Bible and keep Jesus locked in it and the only time He gets to escape and teach us is through the words that someone else wrote down? Do we forget that, someone else wrote down their views of events they heard of, they saw and things they heard and felt through revelation? Even the gospels are not exactly the same about the same events that Jesus did and said as He walked the earth as a man. Which one do we believe so we can walk to the exact form of inerrancy? Does Matthew have one hundred percent or does Luke? If you say that you take a little from both but not each to the letter, then is it truly inerrant? If I read women should not speak in church, but allow women to speak in church, if I believe that all is true in the Bible, do I really get to play the “it was written in a different age than us card”? Here is whats up, it was all written in a different age than us. How do I or how dare I say such a thing but claim that these are God’s words to be followed to the letter? Once again, who do I follow, which teaching? Peter? Paul? They both  contradict each other and sometimes even themselves. In Hebrews, the author writes that God did not like blood sacrifices, then says that Jesus was sent as a blood sacrifice…  What? Paul writes that not of blood or the will of man we are cleansed but of the will of God, but later we read it is by the blood of Jesus we are cleansed of our sins. Wait, it says that God is the same today as He was yesterday and will be same tomorrow, but today He cannot see my sins, but before Jesus He could? No thats not right either, He can’t see them after I say the sinners prayer, that,  by the way, I still cannot find in the inerrant Bible so many speak of.

Let me say this, I believe in the Bible, it sends me into revelation, it walks me through things and I find comfort in it. I am not anti Bible nor am I Antichrist, I love Jesus and what He has shown me, in and out if the Bible. I also will confess this, I don’t always get it right. I have the brain of man, no matter how powerful Jesus is in my heart. My thoughts are not always taken captive. My ego sometimes shows up in the most unlikely places or inappropriate times. I see it happen now, where before I could not. I also see it not show up as often as it use to. I have changed more because of it. I have been stretched far beyond what I thought was possible and I am still being stretched. It is so good! Glory to Jesus!

Let me tell you a quick story, I was back in church for the first time in many, many years. The lights dimmed and the music started, people were worshipping and I was over there thinking what am I doing here? I did not believe in Jesus. I did not believe in resurrection. I did believe in God though. Anyways, I am standing there and an overwhelming feeling came over me. I couldn’t figure it out, I didn’t feel pressure, I wasn’t really scared, but something was happening in me, around me and through me. I now know it was the presence of Jesus, then I thought I was losing my mind. I closed my eyes in an attempt to escape. Instead it escalated. I stepped right into a vision, as someone took a hold of my hand( which I thought was my now wife), I saw a path form out in front of me. The path was dirt, dimly lit and went on as far as I could see. A calm voice said, “ follow the path and will all be ok”. I opened my eyes to once again escape, but the path remained. I looked at my hand to find something real to grasp and although I could still feel my hand being held, no visible hand was there. It was Him, Jesus. He was letting me know that He was there, guiding me down the path. I still thought I was losing my mind, but the truth is that my mind was beginning to be renewed. The point of the story is this, I didn’t say the prayer, I didn’t know the Bible at all, I didn’t believe in Jesus before that moment. So then why did He show up? If I didn’t believe, if I had not taken the oath, why then would He be there for me? I know the answer today, because no matter what, I was never separated from Him, it wasn’t about knowing verses, it’s not about a special prayer or even repentance, it’s about unconditional love! A love so great that even someone who publicly spoke out about His very existence was loved!

The Bible says, love God with all your heart, love your neighbor as yourself, it even says love your enemies, so are we following that to the letter? Here is a giant question I would like you to pounder, to take to God…  What Bible was Moses following, Enoch or even Jesus? Did Paul set down and read the four gospels and then write the letters to the different churches that he had ministered to? The book of Revelations was a vision someone had, so why is it followed to the letter like the gospels? Why do we believe his vision over Nichol’s or Brian’s? To me the truth lies in my heart, in my Spirit that walks with God, sits upon the throne with him. My truth, that may very from yours, is all about where He is taking me at the moment , what He is teaching me. What does He need me to know and how am I getting there? That is what the truth of the moment is all about, obedience to the moment, not to a teaching from someone else’s perspective.

Here is something God just said to me, if your body was made up of all feet, how would it function? So the truth is the same for the body of Christ, it is made up if all of us. We are walking through different things, because He needs us to, that simple. As ling as we follow the head, which is Jesus, we are not and will not get it wrong. Moses did his walk, Paul did his, its time for you and I to do ours. Listen and  find your guidance, down your path. He has you, He knows you and His love never fails!

Why that and not this?

We all know John 3:16, watch a football game and it will appear behind the goal post at every game. It has been taught over and over again, with whom ever is teaching it putting their spin, their message of salvation right along with it. In that message you can be assured one thing, they will tell you that if you give your life to Jesus, you will not need to worry about a thing, well as long as you do these other things also. What other things? Serve the church, repent your sins, ask daily for forgiveness and of course tithe. You will not need to sacrifice an animal anymore, Jesus took care of that part for you with His blood. But all of the old covenant things, you know the law of Moses stuff, yep that is yours to still do.

In my time with God, He has been showing me, in my new awakened state He has been revealing many things. He has lead me to different teachers, but never once leading me away from the Teacher. The Bible calls Him many things, Rabbi, Lord, Messiah and the most important, Son. I know that He is the blueprint for a Kingdom life, not a lifestyle, but a life! He came to free us from the law, but many out there continue to teach both sides of the covenant, old and new. Why? I’m not total sure, but I believe fear is the number one reason. But that’s a whole different teaching.

Here is where I’m going, before John 3:16 there is chapter that steps into something that Paul teaches a lot about later. His words are an amazing tribute to the teachings of Jesus through revelation. This chapter, shows us what Jesus is, who He is and what He really was trying to tell us. Read the following and pay attention to the highlighted part.

“He was the true Light, which doth enlighten every man, coming to the world; in the world he was, and the world through him was made, and the world did not know him: to his own things he came, and his own people did not receive him; but as many as did receive him to them he gave authority to become sons of God — to those believing in his name, who — not of blood nor of a will of flesh, nor of a will of man but — of God were begotten.”

‭‭John‬ ‭1:9-13‬ ‭YLT1898‬‬

Not through blood, nor of the flesh, not even mans will, but of God you are given authority to be a Son! Wow! It wasn’t the sacrifice of Jesus, not His blood, but of God we were begotten. We were made heirs the the Kingdom, because God said so, not because Jesus died for our sins. Not because we repent or give our time and money, but because we believe we are. No sinners prayer needed, just a belief, I will go even farther in saying, knowing who you are as a Son! Why isn’t this being taught? It is right there in the same book, same book as 3:16, but I have never heard this preached. Paul talks of it a lot, it is the main topic of his revelations, in which Jesus taught him. Here is John telling you the same thing, who taught him? Jesus in the flesh. Are both of them wrong? Do we believe the made up sinners prayer or do we believe the words spoken directly to us? I am not a believer of the word being Inerrant, but I do believe that the word will give you revelation on its truth. I read the above verse and things came into alignment for me. I have a revelation being taught as I write this, I will share that as it is revealed further.

I want to share this with you because you are not a servant, you are not lost nor are you a sinner. If you believe Jesus was sent to teach you, then take hold of the authority and see who you were sent here as, a Son. We are an heir, you are a light, you are just as He is. All of these things are said also, in the Word. We need to stop trying to do and start being who we are. No blood, no money, not one bit of serving will give you what you already have, you are a Son. He loves you as a Son, unconditionally, with mercy and grace. Step into your authority, step into your inheritance and just be who you were sent to be!

Do we create our enemies?

Do we create our enemies?

If we see those who don’t agree with us or have suggestions out side of our view of things, as resistance or against us, then we have created an enemy where a friend is standing. These things come out of past hurts, past situations that we have not healed from. We see enemies around every corner, even sitting in our living rooms. We label them, we conclude on their motives and miss out on their love. We put them in a basket, lump them in with all the others that came before them, not seeing the common denominator of our own suspicious mindset. Our view is through the veil of pain instead of through the freedom of love. We talk about love, teach about freedom, we even scream forgiveness from the mountain top, but this is all a mask of appearance to keep the picture perfect and the pain hidden. We keep even those closest to us at arms length, never letting them to close. We don’t let them see us, we don’t let them in, because we see an enemy instead of a friend. We are always looking for their ulterior motive instead of love in what they’re saying. We wait to see what we have predetermined them to do, happen. Then when given the slightest bit of evidence to our preset conclusion, we jump up and say see I knew it! Well of corse we did, we had them set up in our minds to fail, to be exactly what we wanted them to be. Once again we miss it, we don’t see how they were sent to help, we only see the enemy, the pain and our twisted view on love. We see love as you agree with me or you’re the enemy. We may say different, but it’s that lie that makes us appear healthy to others and ourselves. Seriously, should a real friend believe everything I believe, follow what I follow and do everything the way I say it should be done? How can they possibly care or love me if they don’t? Is that what we really want? If so, then we will remain stagnant and closed off from growth.
What has to happen is we need to open ourselves up. We have to take a look at us, self inventory is tough, but healing from emotional trauma only happens when we see our part and let go of theirs. True healing comes from forgiveness and an open heart. Grace goes along way! Having pure Grace for those in your life is one of the most important things you will ever have and do. It’s not something you can talk about, it’s something you have to do. It’s not something you believe others should do. It’s not just something you teach, it’s something you need to be an example of. No one can heal this except you and God, but you have to let Him help you. You see He is the example, He is unconditional love, He has already forgiven you, before and without asking. He is the perfect example of Grace, no matter how many time you mess up, He is still there. We can do it too, we just have to want to. It’s not easy, I still miss the mark, but today I see it quicker and heal faster. It’s a God thing, it’s a Spirt thing, it’s a love thing.
If you take a trip into your past and you feel resentment in past relationships, if you feel any other way than forgiveness and love, you are not healed. If you look upon someone’s actions today and it awakens past conversations, past actions of others or opens an old wound in the present relationship, you are not healed. I’m not saying that you have to go hang out with people who legitimately did something to you, but I am saying that forgiveness, true forgiveness goes along way in your healing.
When you take that trip down memory lane, do you see a pattern? Do you see the same repetitive things happening over and over again? If so this is the place you stop and reflect on what is your part in it. How do you act, do you react or respond? Do you see the past or the present? Do you have resentment or Grace? There are times I have to take a step back and ask my self this question. If I do feel angry or hurt, why? My response will be different if I see why I feel this way. If I don’t, then it becomes a reaction, no heart in it, just a mindset action.
The next thing we must look at is their intentions. Are they purposely trying to hurt me? Are they wanting to see me fail? Is the truth that they love me enough to speak honesty. Do they see me and want more for me? Do I see their heart through my own pain? Knowing the intentions of the heart of the person in front of you is important. Knowing that by the fruit they have brought into your life is key to knowing those intentions. This is when we will see that we are healing or healed, when we are able to see friends instead of foes. When we can ask questions to their intent instead of concluding on them. It when we realize the enemy has been inside our own head and has distorted the truth of who they are because of who we are. You are not broken, not everyone has failed you and only your heart can see the truth. Forgive, let go, be complete! Be just as God made you!

Battle or Rest?

Fear is always hungry, all it wants to do is eat and grow, it is it’s only purpose. It’s purpose can not be manifested without your help. As we move through our lives we project these frequencies into the world. We feed the beast and call it the devil. Fear is the enemy, it is that simple. The greatest battle ever waged was the one in our own minds. The enemy with in is fed by our own belief. We give it power over us, it grows only by the amount of food we give it. It has been the source of our own self manipulation. We don’t want to believe that we do this to ourselves, so we create an outside source to be the determining factor of why we are afraid, of why things are the way they are. We give credit to a self made manifestation and take no responsibility for it. We go to church on Sunday, sit down and plug the IV in and get fed that which we want to hear, it’s not your fault. Keep fighting the good fight! One day the battle will be worth it, you will slay the enemy and all will be right in your world.

All is right in the world now, if you see God in everything. Resting in the Father is seeing what it is He is showing you. It is the lessons, the wisdom of seeing His ways and what He is doing.

If I look upon the present situation as an attack, then I will develop a posture to perform, to battle. If I look at it from God’s perspective, through the lens of Grace, I can then take comfort in the relationship and in His understanding. If I grow from it instead of defeating it I gain wisdom instead of knowledge. You will defeat it, you are more than a conqueror, but you will also have to battle it again. You will gain knowledge of how to battle, instead of the wisdom to rest and let Him battle. The real understanding comes when you realize He doesn’t battle, He is victorious already. Wisdom then tells you this, because He is in you, you are also already victorious!

If you are standing on the battlefield with your teacher, you are gaining knowledge of how to fight. If you are resting in the arms of your teacher, you are gaining wisdom of the power that is within you. Wisdom of love and of Grace.

Knowledge keeps you busy, knowledge gives a false sense of control, working for knowledge keeps you striving and tired. Wisdom on the other hand, gives you peace, comfort and divine rest. Unlike we have been taught, God is not a God of war, He is the God of peace. He doesn’t want you to fight, He wants you to have peace. This all goes back to the beginning of this, if you feed fear, you will feel the need to fight. If you feed Grace, you will not feel need at all, you will just be love, just like He is.

A not so random thought

Just a not so random thought… I wonder how many people rebelled against the stay at home, stay away from family gatherings this weekend. I wonder how many chose to not follow the law. These same people who look down on drug users, people who steal, people who commit domestic violence and all the other law breakers, have now joined into committing criminal acts. What’s the difference, they will say it didn’t hurt anyone, it was about family or community. Time will tell won’t it.
We walk in a self righteous state, condemning those who do things that we don’t agree with, but in our minds we justify our actions with self serving excuses of righteousness. What happens when we only see our selves in what we are doing is we become unable to see the effect of our actions on others.
Here is a question, what happens if just one of your friends or family members were carrying the covid virus? Now if there were 10, 20 or more people gathered in your group, what does that look like? What if you are an essential worker? Haven’t you now put those people at risk? Their families? What about when you go shopping, I bet you don’t wear a face mask, so now you have put all those people at risk. Haven’t you?
We are so quick to condemn and stand in conviction of others. We look upon their law breaking as being selfish, appalling and evil. The Bible says no sin is greater than the other. But, when we look at ourselves, we skew that into our favor, we say well I didn’t actually kill anyone. Well, in this case you actually may have. Time will tell.
No one is without sin, I am thankful for a loving God who does not see my sin, I am grateful for the blood that washed that away. But I do know this, because I have seen it in my own life, sin judges sin. A thief goes to jail, alcohol abuse destroys the body and a speeder gets a ticket.
I have no judgement or ill feelings towards anyone for doing what you felt you must do. I do ask this of you, next time you jump up on your pedestal, your stump or climb up the stairs, remember your own actions before you start casting down conviction on others. It’s easy to see the fault in others, it’s easy to wrong in others, it is also easy to become one of the others. Grace goes along ways, so does wisdom. I believe we all need to practice a little more of both.

My Resurrection

I have heard so many believers say that they can look back and see God in their life before they recognized Jesus. Before they were “saved”.

Religion teaches you have no favor with God until you give yourself to Jesus, you are separated, but yet so many saw Him working in their lives before.

Personally the fact that I’m alive is Divine. Today I look back and see God all over my life, even before my day of awakening. Why would He do that if I had not accepted His Son? Religion will tell you that you need salvation to get “right with God “. I once again ask this question, why did He show me favor before that day? Why did I live through multiple car accidents? Why didn’t I die from countless alcohol poisonings, alcohol overdoses? How did I not overdose on the large amounts of cocaine and they combinations of both? Why when I had enough of all of that life style and was ready to give up, why did He call me? You see I was sitting on a log in the woods with a gun in my hand, sobbing, I had had enough! I called out for help to pull the trigger, “God please help me”. What I got instead was a phone call, from someone whom I cannot remember. I put down the gun, climbed of that log and went home. It was my resurrection! How fitting for my life, I was on a tree and it was the beginning of my awakening.

So, back to this question, if I had not reconciled with God through Jesus, why did He show up? Why did He show up the multiple times before? If the relationship wasn’t there yet, if my sins had not been forgiven by me speaking those infamous words of salvation, why would He save that sinner?

You see the story didn’t end on that log, nor did it begin there. Everything I walked through was God! The days after that day were orchestrated by Him, once again before I asked for forgiveness. I was arrested shortly after that day on the log. I was sent to AA. I saw what I now know as God in all of those amazing people in the program. They spoke life into me, even those whom were not saved. I met my now wife, who spoke life into me, before I was saved. Why would a God, whom I did not believe to have a Son, that He sent as a sacrifice for me, do all of that? Why would He do that before I knew Jesus? Why?

I know why now, because I have been forgiven since the cross! Jesus has always been inside me! I have never been separated from a God, except in my own mind. His favor poured out on me throughout my life! Religion will say it’s because I had a divine appointment. Religion will say it’s so I could share my testimony. This is a direct contradiction to their belief system, so they must say something, even if it doesn’t make sense. They have to make an excuse even if it goes against what they themselves believe. This becomes confusing and it misleads so many. It turns away those who have not awakened to the love, power and authority that lives in them. It is the teaching of faith without works, except for this special case of Jim…

The truth is, I didn’t do a thing to get that favor. I didn’t do a thing for God to love me unconditionally. Actually I did the opposite. I didn’t have to do a thing, why? Jesus already did it! It is finished! Today is the day of resurrection, the day Jesus showed us the awesome power of God! It is the day of good news! This is the day that we don’t have to add a thing to the cross, the day that even to death was defeated! It goes so much deeper, they is so much more to learn, to teach and to awaken to. Grace is the answer to all the questions. Look inside you, then look back at you, do you see Him there? My story isn’t special at all, but what He did for “all” is.

I am grateful to my Savior, for this day, for the days leading up to this day. Not just in His life, but also in my own. I am free! No separation, no bondage, just Jesus!

Identity

To be kingdom minded, to be like Jesus, is to honor the spirit of the person in front of you, no matter what the flesh is doing.

God once said to me, “to enter the kingdom leave your ego at the door”. What is the definition of ego?

: the self especially as contrasted with another self or the world

: the one of the three divisions of the psyche in psychoanalytic theory that serves as the organized conscious mediator between the person and reality especially by functioning both in the perception of and adaptation to reality

I read the above and what stands out is, the way I view myself from flesh, my Spirit and my perception of reality. My other self is my Spirit, my perception is the way I view things from those two much different places.

My flesh will always view things from a distorted place, a veiled reality. The hurt, the tribulations of this realm, this world. It masks us from the true identity of who we are through the multiple things that have been brought against our flesh. It sees the many things we have done to others, justifies them and we move on caught up in an illusion of no harm, no foul. What happens is our sin is now judged by the sin, self condemnation is a reality that persecutes us. It rolls around in our subconscious until it reveals itself in many ways, sometimes very ugly ways. Our actions and words will now carry that egotistical weight, we judge, we convict and condemn others. We do not see their spirit, we do not see the Jesus in them, we only see our perception of them through the lens of self.

What has happened to make us this way? We have been taught this, it has been learned from many different angles, even by those who have no idea that this is what they are teaching us. We have been hurt by loved ones, we have been treated poorly by those in the world and we have encountered things that have pulled the veil over our eyes to the truth of unconditional love.

What happens to us when we become ego driven? The first one that comes to mind is what God said to me, you cannot enter the kingdom with your ego attached. This does not mean you are not going to Heaven when you die! What it means is you will not experience Heaven right here, right now! You will get in your own way. You will manifest things not of Heaven. You will feel the pain of the past, you will seek out others who feed this. You will seek a scapegoat for all that is wrong. Satan is a great example of this, we make the decision, without consulting God and we blame the enemy for the result. We see ourselves under attack, when the true enemy was ego, self indulgence, my will over God’s. We have even blamed God for our own poor choices and we believe He has forsaken us. Once again taught perception.

My Spirit sees only the truth, righteousness in its purest form. After all it is Holy, it is the Spirit that is Jesus. When we are able to see the Spirit of others, see through their flesh, through the outer shell that hides their true identity, is when ego is gone and you become kingdom minded. You begin to manifest things in a whole new way. You see the righteousness in all. You see love in its purest form. There is not a part of you that says, that was great, but…  Nope, you just see their Spirit! The good, the same thing that God sees! You have just brought Heaven to earth. The best part, the reward if you will, is that you will no longer be working towards this, no striving, no mistaken identity. You will see a shift in your life like nothing ever dreamed of! You will see Him in everything. You will no longer, work, battle or fight through things. You will not just feel love, but physically see it. You will not feel the need to fix, cure or cast out other people’s problems, to feel good about your own. You will feel peace, joy, happiness and harmony in all parts of your life! This is kingdom living! Heaven on earth! Your truth, your true identity will manifest and the abundant life will be at hand. You will not have to reach for it, it will just be. People will see it on you, in you and around you. It will pour out of you like the living water that is your Father, that is who He made you to be.

I know it’s possible, I see it in my own life. I have not yet been able to manifest it it on a consistent level, but I do more than I did yesterday. But what I know is this, that feeling is amazing. Knowing the unconditional love and being able to give it back is Heaven! It’s joy in it finest and purest form. I also know it comes from resting in Him, no work or performance can do it. It is only by doing what the Father is doing can I bring Heaven, can I live Kingdom and can I be the true me!

Sonship

When you come to the realization that God is in everything, that He is all, you can then put to rest the idea that you can come under attack. Shame was not known until it was taught, weakness was not known until it was named. Lack is a product conceived by shame and weakness. Fear is lacks brother, taught by man, to control your mind.

If I shame you, convince you of your weakness, I now prove to you your lack, which installs the fear to do better, be better, to do more. I now show you that the only way to be what you can be is to do what I say. I can use your own mindset to keep you at bay, in control. I will convince you that by redemption is the only way to reconcile with God.

If God is love, if His intentions towards you are Good, then how can you come under attack by anything?  He is God after all! If He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow, what are you going to do to change His mind towards you? You can’t work your way to Him, He is already there. You can’t buy your way to Him, He doesn’t value money. You can attempt to pray your way to Him,  He already knows what you’re thinking.

What you can do is rest in Him, build a relationship with Him. What happens after that will come natural. You will love yourself. You will love others. You will praise Him out of love for Him. You will pray for others so they see Him in you and see hope is real. You will give from your heart because your heart is now the same as His. You will serve out of love, not obligation. He is love, generosity pours from Him. He is kindness, He cares for all His children. He is strength, it empowers you, He lifts you up and directs you!

Your enemy is your mind, you attack you! You see the negativity you were taught. You believe the lie you tell yourself. You don’t need help from an outside entity, you have man, they tell you how you don’t measure up, how you have to do more, how you are weak and that you lack. You believe them, you believe yourself over everything He has shown you.

Faith is not believing that there is a God, Faith is believing that a God is in you! Jesus came to show you this very thing. He was a man, within Him was God. He was Divinity and man, He saw what we fail to see. He did not allow the words and actions of others to change who and what He is. They didn’t alter His call or direction. We raise Jesus up on a pedestal like He is something we can’t achieve. The truth He was carrying is that you can do it too, you can be just like Him! That is the blueprint of truth! He died as you, you were in Him! You were crucified with Him. He did it all, you don’t have to. It is finished!! We fail to recognize this truth, Jesus is the truth and the way!

This is the goal, to manifest in to a Son, just as Jesus is! Sonship is here, it’s no longer being saved and working towards redemption. It is being as Jesus was when He walked the earth. It is revealing to all that God is in them and that it is time to co-create with Him. This is going to bring Heaven on earth! This is not done by working towards, but by manifesting the truth of who we are. It will be by doing as Jesus, with Jesus! The more of us that see this, walk this out, is when we will see more of Heaven and less of this world.

You keep hearing rival is coming. You will be told to keep working towards it. I proclaim it’s here! It isn’t an outward thing you can see, it is an inward thing you can feel! Rival is in you, it is the manifestation of Sonship. It is the outpouring from within. It is time to rise up and be who we are called to be. Don’t rely on my words, it’s in the Bible. Research it, listen to those who are teaching it, believe what your Spirit is saying to you.

Grace, The Best News Ever

We want to go deeper, we want to feel more, see more and understand from His perspective. But we choose to do nothing about it. We listen to same people, we listen to the same teachings and we change nothing. Why? It’s because we find comfort in that which is familiar. We get complacent and we block out those things that we say we desire. It’s not that we don’t desire them, it’s not that we truly don’t want to know more, but this could require change. Our human self fears change, it fears what we already know being challenged. The biggest of them all is, what if what I believed all this time isn’t true? What if what I spoke out about, told others about isn’t exactly the truth? So what? You would join the millions of others who have done this with minor things to greater things. Here is a fact, just because it has been taught for ten, a hundred or a thousand years doesn’t make it true. What it does make it is ingrained in society, ingrained in those teaching and ingrained in you.

Here is something for you. If you decide to look outside your box of understanding. If you decide to listen or read something new or different. If you feel something different from your Spirit, it doesn’t make you a heretic or blasphemous. It makes you a disciple. Think about those twelve, what they endured. They followed and listened to a man speaking and teaching something totally different then what they knew. Jesus was teaching the Jewish people about Grace. He was releasing them from the law of man and attempting to lead them to a fearless relationship with the Father, our Father. He was trying to reconcile them with the unconditional love they always had, He was teaching the disciples the same thing. Think about how lost they were at first, how it challenged what they knew and their belief system. It was what they had been taught for years, but yet something inside them said, wait… there is something to this man, something to what He is saying. Grace wins every time, Jesus is Grace.

Paul wrote about two thirds of the New Testament, but are we truly listening to what he is saying? He wrote to the gentiles of his day, but it still is speaking to us today. He taught Grace, nothing more. He didn’t go back into the old news, he didn’t go back and teach law, he taught only the good news of Jesus Christ. He taught redemption, with out works. He taught complete forgiveness, with striving. He taught unconditional love from our Father, without us loving Him first. But yet, we go back, read those things taught in bondage mindset and make them our truth today. We proclaim Grace abound, but keep one foot placed firmly in the law. We listen to law, we teach law and we view it as Grace, tell everyone that this is Grace. The truth is we have to choose, Grace or law. If you go back and do one law, you have to do all six hundred and thirteen of them. You cannot be free unless you do one or the other. Jesus came to walk out the law of man for you, with you. He did it so you don’t have to, but yet we still go back, we still keep trying to do the work.

There is so much to learn from the old covenant, from that which happened before the cross. But it was not written to you, it was written for you to learn about. The truth (Jesus was the truth and the way), happened on the cross and went on after the cross. This was written to you. Paul’s revelations of Grace, the recognition of the finished work, is what we are supposed to be following. We have to get out of that box, that mindset of doing to be accepted by God’s love, His Grace. These things taught and ingrained in us, this is the bondage of self, our fear holds us back from wholeness and completeness through the very Grace we seek.

The things I am writing about aren’t really so far out there, they are in The Book. We have been blinded by the veil that we chose to put over own faces. We chose to listen and accept that which we believe today. We are chained to these beliefs and wonder why we are not truly happy. Pure Grace is the best news ever! Why is then we continue to drag those chains behind us? I leave you with these verses, this is who you are…

“Therefore, brethren, we are debtors—not to the flesh, to live according to the flesh. For if you live according to the flesh you will die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God. For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption by whom we cry out, “Abba, Father.” The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God, and if children, then heirs—heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with Him, that we may also be glorified together.”

‭‭Romans‬ ‭8:12-17‬ ‭NKJV

Our Choice of Truth

Why is it that someone can feed us a false truth, maybe even lie to us and we believe every word. Then someone else can tell us the truth and we see it as a lie? Even deeper, someone else can tell us that same truth and we believe them over the other person?
Think about those you give power over you. Those who you allow to speak into your life. Do we seek those who fill our needs even if it is not true? Do we seek those who fill our views and do not challenge us or challenge our doctrines? Do our wounds effect how we see others and what they say? What we believe, how we believe and who we believe. Is a direct result of how we view ourselves.?
A person who can step outside of their own belief system is one who will truly grow. An open mind and a soft heart will gain more knowledge, will gain more understanding and will grow faster than one who does not. The Vail that you are looking through was put there by you. No one else can hide the truth from you, except you.
