Devaluing and Demoting

It has become the norm, our behavior has been putting less value each other and our actions are not very becoming. Looking even deeper, we are not valuing ourselves and seeing what our own worth is. So if we can’t even recognize our own worth how can we even begin to see value in others?

For me this journey has hurt a lot of people, friends and family alike, no one was safe. I was quick to mock, slander and make fun of you right to your face, all in the name of fun. I also blamed and accused those closest to me for my own lack and insecurities. After all my past screamed at me, you are nothing. Without getting to in-depth, I grew up being told and shown by many around me that I was less than, I was useless and I was unwanted. It continued on through life, from those closest to me, even authority figures. I let these individuals words and actions demote me, I let their perspective be my truth. I could not see past the deception that my own mind had anchored in and believed it was who I was and all that I would ever be. I took those lies as my truth and sat in that truth.

This may seem like it is a fairytale or a fabrication but it is real and is happening everyday. It continues on a vicious cycle from one person to the next. I passed it on just like a bad book that I proclaimed as a good one. I took my pain, my struggles and projected it on to all around me. I demoted them for my own self absorbed satisfaction. What is sad is that it was so ingrained, I didn’t even see it. It was taught and I observed it from so many sources that I couldn’t see anything but normalcy from it. It became who I was, it became my source of life, a lie.

Then came Jesus, no not the one in the book, the one in my now wife. I knew nothing of the love she showed, not just to me but to all around her. She showed up differently than most people. Even in times when those she loves came against her, belittled her and ostracized her, there she was loving them. She lead me to church, which is a whole different story, but in that building I met Jesus first hand ( the truth is I had already met him ). The blueprint of who He was in His human form was right there, on those pages for all to see. He tapped into the source, the Father and distributed love, an unconditional love that we can’t seem to get in our human experience. He was one with the Father and it showed, He showed up and it was clear to all those whom believed. I was a mind renewing moment for all who wanted to see past their own self images. It was mind blowing to those whom had been beaten down by others, by the law and by religion. It blows my mind still today, how could He just keep loving in-spite of all that came against Him and those whom turned their backs on Him? He was love, thats how! He was the source, He is doing what the Father is doing still today! He is the example, just like my wife was then and still is today. Love is powerful!

I woke up at 3am this morning. God sitting bedside, talking to me about this very thing. I struggle with belief in myself, my worthiness. It shows itself in moments of trials and tribulations. When I have the choice to show up as the blueprint or as my old self image of lack. Its when I get to make that decision of showing up as love or in fear.  As God or as Satan. I Am or adversary.

This revelation has been brewing in me for years, it took several people and situations to get me to this moment. I had to deconstruct from taught traits, taught lies and a religious mindset, to find the source of all things, unconditional love! I am still walking this out, its fresh and I am sure I will miss the mark some days. But I now see truth where I believed lies, I now have a greater understanding of love and of what its power is. I see that I Am, the perspective of I Am and the source is part of me, is me and I get the joy and honor to share that with everyone!

A View from Who’s Perspective

When we do not have eyes to see or ears to hear, we are caught up in our own ego of the “need” to be right. Even though the truth is right in front of us, that which we have believed for so long as being the truth, takes precedence over everything else. If I believed my whole life in something, if it was my truth for many years, it is ingrained in me, it is part of who I am. If asked to believe or shown something different, it could be and often is taken personally as an attack on who I am. This creates a defensive posture and a quest to prove that I’m right. Why do I need to prove this? Because I view what is being said to me as this, my life is a lie. We will gather up our facts, sit down with our truth and plan our defense as if we are going to court. We object to anything that contradicts our truth, we deny any facts or ideas contrary to our truth and we will even result to badgering or talking over anything that could alter our mindset to our truth.

Now, lets make it about religion or spirituality… yep, people will lose their minds!

All of the above paragraph is true about those whom have been set in their religious mindsets., some don’t even realize they are religious. They have been taught this, read it this way and believe it to be that and only that. It is all they have known, the way they lived and no one will change their minds, not even Jesus. Thats right, not even Jesus. Isn’t that what He came to do? He came to change our minds of how we see God, how we are living our lives and what the truth and the light really looks like. Isn’t that what He said, isn’t that who we are supposed to be?

We have been taught that Jesus came to wash away our sins and to reconcile us with God. Is that true or our truth? Is that what He was teaching or what we are teaching for our own sakes? First we have to believe we are sinners and God sees us that way. Second we have to believe we are separated from Him and need to be forgiven for both. If you are taught this and make it your truth, then you will spend your life trying to get back into Grace with our Father. You will need to do things like repent, say a prayer and give out of obligation. These are the laws set down and you must follow them in order to be right with God. Does any of these things sound familiar?

The Pharisees had Jesus right in front of them and could not see nor hear Him past there own idea what truth is. Their own mindset of who they are and what they needed to be was challenged by Him. He is the light and the truth, but yet they saw a liar and a sinner. Why? Because their whole life was being challenged, not  just their beliefs,  but what they had lived for and as. They were groomed for this, the law was their life! It was time to take it to court.

I could lay out the verses of all the ways they challenged Him. I could tell you of His responses to them. If I did, I would be telling you my truth. I ask you to look for yourselves, read it from the Jesus in you, not the sinner. It changed how you read and view the teachings of Jesus. In my opinion the greatest teacher of truth.

I will interject my opinion on just a few things God has had me walking out. Lets talk a moment about our sins being washed away by the blood. If you believe that God saw or sees you as a sinner, then you must have the law of a blood sacrifice to wash you clean. Who called for His blood, His death? Was it the disciples or the Pharisees? Was it the law or the love? Was it those whom felt they were separated or those whom knew a truth beyond the law? Did Jesus come to cleanse your soul or renew your mind? Your truth of where you are, is in your answers to these questions. Here is the beauty of it, God has you right where He needs you and Jesus, the truth, is setting you free! One other thing I want to point out, a non-Jew, a gentile washed his hands of the blood, of the innocent blood. Why did Pilate do this? Think on that a moment… the blood was not His to claim.

They other thing is this, the Bible was written by men. It was written in their time and their mindsets of the story of their lives. Although I believe with my heart, it was influenced by God and it is needed, but there are truths I needed to research. These are some truths that God said to me, who wrote it? What is their back story? When was it written? What do you see when you read it? How are you reading it, from flesh or spirit? When I begin to read it from a renewed mind, from the influence of Jesus and that perspective, it changes things for me. It took away a lot of things I held on to and defended. It took the yoke off of me and put rest in its place. Freedom was at hand.

I’m not asking you to fall inline with me. This is just my view, what I’m hearing and how God is working through me. We all have a walk. We all have an understanding and we all have ears to hear and eyes to see. Lets do our best to have His perspective and walk out His Grace in all that we do.

Pure Grace

The circular motion of religious law is to keep you in place. It gives the appearance of freedom, but will always bring you back to its freedom with conditions. It will let you look out side the circle, but just so it can condemn the revelation of those whom seek the mysteries. The law says, the literal meaning of the Word is all there is, you must follow it in order to know God, to find salvation and to see Heaven. Grace says the opposite, it is the contradiction to law. Grace is Jesus plus nothing! All thing turn to Jesus, with His teaching there is no circle, there are no limitations.

When we lock in to a factual account of the literal translation of the Word, are we not limiting the Word? We say that’s it’s alive, but if we only see it how “we” believe it is written, are we putting God in a box? The truth is, yes we are! We keep Him between two book covers and freak out if someone sees something different. We don’t even want to listen to what others see or even more important what God is saying to them, through them.

Paul states very clearly that his teachings is not of man but by revelations.

“And I make known to you, brethren, the good news that were proclaimed by me, that it is not according to man, for neither did I from man receive it, nor was I taught [it], but through a revelation of Jesus Christ,”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1:11-12‬ ‭YLT1898‬‬

But yet we are quick to dismiss others revelations. Why do we see them as not worthy? Do we see them as less than we are? Do we believe we are the only ones who can possibly hear from God? I believe we miss out on consistent occurrences of the revelation of Jesus, by dismissing each other. How can we ever grow in Christ if we see only our own value, our own understanding in what God is saying. Does it not say to rest in His understanding? So I challenge you to seek out what that means. I have my own definition of what God’s understanding is, it has been refined like gold is in fire!

My wife asked me recently, “Do you think the Bible was written to us or for us?” I answered quickly, I said for us. Why? Because no where does it say, you silly Jim or the the church of Jim. I was not, the twelve or the seventy. But I do know that the message is clear, that for me, for us it was written as a blueprint as a guideline of what Grace looks like. I am not dismissing the Old Testament, for in those pages exist the same message, along with what not to do, with the ways God used others. It also shows the power of revelation through prophets and teachers.

We are all on a journey, each one of us has a path, but I believe we can shorten the destination with the gifts placed in front of us. The five fold is important! The gift of discernment is a key to the doors of mystery. Jesus told the disciples at one point there are things I want to tell you but you are not ready, then later after their beliefs grew, He revealed those things to them. But, it didn’t stop after He physically left them, but through visions, through revelations He kept teaching them. Do we have the audacity to think He has weakened, that He can no longer teach us? Or do we want to learn, do we want to be taught all that there is? Do we, by our faith in Him believe that through us all, He can teach us what the mystery of pure Grace is? I believe that more today than yesterday. Some though will remain stuck. Some will grow to point and stay, be content with where they are. Some will never see past their blind spots. Then there are those who want to be fed, they want more, they need more.

I look to the path, I value the journey and I pray for more keys, the keys you have for me! I am excited to open every door, the ones that open quickly and the ones that open slowly. I am learning to value every situation and pull from it what God needs me to know. I am glad that you are on this journey with me and look forward to day we all meet, here on earth or in Heaven. We will meet, I know it! Let’s work together, let’s bring the a Good News of pure Grace to all, let us listen and see Heaven on earth…

I want and appreciate feed back. I love conversations and questions. I don’t write to reveal only what I’ve learned, but also to hear what you have.

We are Sons, Not Servants

We are sons, not servants

“and when the fulness of time did come, God sent forth His Son, come of a woman, come under law, that those under law he may redeem, that the adoption of sons we may receive; and because ye are sons, God did send forth the spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, ‘Abba, Father!’”

‭‭“so that thou art no more a servant, but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.”

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭4:4-7‬ ‭YLT1898‬‬

When you read those verses you are being taught a valuable lesson. When you let what it is saying to you set in to your mind, it should line up with what your Spirit already knows. When Jesus came He broke you free from the bondage of law, He broke you free from having to live up to what man believes we must do to earn our Fathers love.

Those of us who have spent time in most churches have been taught that we must “do” to receive. But this is a false teaching, although those teaching it believe it, it doesn’t make it so. You did not earn your sonship, you didn’t have to jump through hoops, give a hundred dollars are serve the church for six months, nope it was given to you. You are redeemed! It says so right there! So what does that mean?

Redeem: gain or regain possession of (something) in exchange for payment.

So if Christ payed for it already, why do we think we have to continue to make payments on it? Why do we feel we have to work, to be a servant to God, to be redeemed for our trespasses? To pay for what we have done, after Jesus already did it seems a bit extra, doesn’t it? It also seems a little disrespectful to Him in my eyes. He paid with His life, but yet we think we have to do a little more, a lot more in some cases, to get back in to grace with our Father. Why? Because someone else said so?

For thousands of years this has continued to be taught, faith without works is dead. I say He already died, He did the work, payment was made, “it is finished”.

I will leave you with this to think on, if we continuously have to redeem ourselves, if we have to work, confess and strive to be free, then why did Jesus come? Why did God send Him to reconcile us to Him? Why are we not resting in the idea that we are already sons?

“I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!””

‭‭Galatians‬ ‭2:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

We are in a Battle

   We are in a battle,

“put on the whole armour of God, for your being able to stand against the wiles of the devil, because we have not the wrestling with blood and flesh, but with the principalities, with the authorities, with the world-rulers of the darkness of this age, with the spiritual things of the evil in the heavenly places;”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭6:11-12‬ ‭YLT1898‬‬

In the Strongs Concordance translation this is the definition of devil: diábolos (from 1225 /diabállō, “to slander, accuse, defame”) – properly, a slanderer; a false accuser; unjustly criticizing to hurt (malign) and condemn to sever a relationship.

When you read that definition it changes the way we read that verse. At least it did for me. The Bible is a living word, it transcends through the ages, it says the same thing, but is still revenant today. So it says put on your full armor of God, later in the chapter it explains the pieces of armor. The two I’m going to focus on is the shield of faith and the helmet of salvation.

Let’s get in to it. You have your armor on, so what are you battling? It says the wiles of the devil, the definition describes it as slanders and false accusers. If you have your helmet of salvation on, to me salvation is also wisdom. For in my salvation I am given the Holy Spirit, which carries the gift of discernment, words of knowledge and many others. These gifts make us wise, this is the helmet God has given you, we are to use it for His good. As you use your helmet, you have to allow God’s wisdom to guide you. When some speaks, when they are talking to you about who they are and what they are doing, at the same time your Spirit is checking in. It is looking into their heart for the truth of God’s word. You see He knows the truth! In our Spirit we are connected to Him, what He knows, so can we. If their intentions are not of God, your Spirit will know, if you pay attention, so will you. If they are being dishonest , slanderous, being of false witness it will let you know. Use that for His good, use that to make sure who you follow and what you follow does not have I’ll intentions. Sometimes, thay don’t even see it themselves, it is a blind spot of the highest magnitude. It can destroy the very thing they love and cherish. (Love them anyways)

Now that we are using our wisdom, we must also be able to hold up our shield of faith. We must believe in our faith that nothing can stand against us. That the darts that may come from others can not penetrate who we are in Him. He will be their if we believe! Our worthiness is based on this faith, in His love, if we know He is there, then we have nothing to fear! No words or actions taken against us can prosper. Once again, it is all in our faith.

You are suited up, your wisdom is on point, your faith is strong and you are ready for battle. Now rest! You don’t have to do a thing. When you suit up, you are in His arms of protection. Your enemies, your adversaries are already defeated. The Bible says they are under your feet, God will deal with them. It really is that simple. Go up and read that verse, then come back to the next paragraph.

We are not wrestling against flesh and blood! We are going up against others hearts, the inner workings, the thing we cannot see. We are going up against intentions and the authority they feel they have to speak negativity in to your life. The control they feel they must have for things to work out their way. It says world rulers, it says of this age. The living word has transcended to today. World rulers does not mean Presidents, Kings, Queens and Princes. It means those who seek out worldly things, things of the flesh and blood! Worldly power, money, authority to reign over a body. Yes even the body of Christ! It is everywhere! You see it in all forms of government, from nations to churches. Everyone is seeking some sort of control. Was Jesus looking to control? Was He here to tell us what to do? He was here to show us how to do it, how love can and would change the world. It’s not about doing things our way but His way. But that’s not what is happening. When we think we have a better way, when we think we have it figured out, we fail! If it’s not His way, it is false. If it’s not what Jesus showed us, it is not what the a Father is doing. What makes anyone think they have a batter way than God? EGO!

Self righteousness is the killer of men, of ideas, of love! When you start saying look at me, look what I’m doing instead of what He is doing, what He has done, you just crossed that line. If “I” is more prevalent than the “Great I Am”, you better start looking for somewhere else to be. If you are the one saying it, well… you better check your ego at the door before you enter the kingdom.

In the last part of the verse it says “evil in Heavenly places”. If we are bringing Heaven to earth, then this is a Heavenly place. If evil, if flesh and blood rules here, how can we ever bring Heaven here? Jesus did! He is the blueprint, love, love, love! There is no love in ego, there is no love in self indulgence or self righteousness. Love cannot have a condition on it. Love can not be ruled over. Love cannot have a price tag. The price was paid with a life, the sacrifice was already made. We say it, but we don’t rest in it!

Freedom is a myth in this world or is it? No it’s not. As I break away from business as usual, as I pull on my helmet, as I hold up my shield, as I rest in Him, my freedom has grown into a beautiful place. I no longer allow this world to rule my life(well most of the time). When I set in His lap, when I lay it at His feet and say it’s yours Father, I am free, Free indeed! Paul said he had to die to his flesh daily, I get this now. If I live in the world of the flesh I am a captive. If I live in this world, I need worldly things to be happy. But if I give all of this away, if I rest not in my understanding but in His, I will find a new freedom and a new happiness, I will see Heaven on earth…

Thank you Jesus!

Or We Can Be Like Jesus

How we show up is important! I am not saying this to condemn anyone, but think about these verses:

““Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.” Then Jesus said, “Whoever has ears to hear, let them hear.””

‭‭Mark‬ ‭4:3-9‬ ‭NIV‬‬

If I am the farmer, how I plant my seed is important. How I deliver that seed to the soil and take care of it, is how the fruit will be produced. The fact is, I first must take care of my own fields first! How I am cultivating my mindset, how I am showing up is more important than what I can saying. If Jesus had walked around putting down the disciples, if He was drunk, cursed and lied, would His words have carried any weight? If He boasted about who He was, treated them as less than, how long would those closest to Him stayed? Sure there would be some who would hang out, those with a like minded mindset, those who believed that their way was the right way. But was it the righteous way?

We forget that we are the representative of God or is it that we don’t care? God is in us, He gave us and gives us power and strength, He breathed life into us. Although we are covered by this body, this shell, it doesn’t give us a built in excuse to be less than who we are supposed to be. Jesus was flesh and bones… so why do we let ourselves off the hook? Why do we get to right to say, well I am human after all?

Let’s go back to the farmer. Every single person we meet is good soil. They were all made in the image of God. The problem is, how was the soil prepared? Farmers use cow manure to prepare their fields, the reason is, all the grains and stuff they eat can’t survive their digestive system. What that means is that unwanted weeds or plants will not grow in the field from their fertilizer. They will not have to battle these things to get the most desired and healthy plants. Those who use horse manure on the other hand, because of the horses digestive system, will end up with seeds from undesired plants. This will make it harder to produce a better yield of crops. I say this  to tell you, if I am speaking a great message, if I am talking about the Kingdom in a great and powerful way, but I am over here acting in another way, all the unrighteous fertilizer on the seeds I have planted will be tainted by the sight of the weeds growing in my own field. If I am letting myself off the hook, if I am so self righteous that I use worldly excuses to explain away my actions, I will be pulling weeds instead of producing good fruit. Sure my words may get some produce, but my actions will taint the rest.

Here is something to think about, Jesus is talking to the disciples, they are not getting what He is saying, this is new to them and it just isn’t setting in. In His frustration He says, are you f’ing stupid? What the “f” is wrong with you? How do they view themselves? How much are they going to retain or will they want to? Do they continue to follow Him? How does the use of that word, that language effect how they view Him?

   How about this view…

“Jesus answered, “If you want to be perfect, go, sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭19:21‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Let’s say this man went out and did exactly what Jesus said to do, then when the man returns, he sees Him stuffing money in His pockets. What does that look like to not just that man, but to all who heard Him. Once again, I am not condemning anyone, God said He wanted us to have an abundant life, but by what means?

We are no different than Jesus, not one bit. As children of God, as sons and daughters we are responsible for not just teaching the Word, but living it. When we are truly awakened to who we are in Christ, we became a new creation. We become more, instantly! We no longer have the excuse of lack, of not knowing any better. I can no longer fall back on God’s Grace and forgiveness as justification of my purposeful actions. I cannot tell you that I am new, the old is gone and then say my past transgressions, my past life style is why I do what I do today. If I continue to believe that, act like that then it is time for me to seek out some healing. It is time for me to look at my faith in Him. If I believe He is all things, if I believe He can do all things then why am I striving so hard to put mans stamp on it? If I truly believe that He can, why am I trying to do it for Him? Why are we interrupting what God is trying to do by doing what we think we need to do? Is that faith in Him? Do we really think we know better than He does? If I believe mans way is better, it’s a better idea than just getting out of the way, then I really don’t believe all.

“All things to me are lawful, but all things are not profitable; all things to me are lawful, but all things do not build up;”

‭‭1 Corinthians‬ ‭10:23‬ ‭YLT1898‬‬

We have free will, we can do and say what we want and how we want, but at what cost? If what I do or say with purposeful intentions to cause harm, pain or strife, is that profitable to anyone? Is that Christ like? Is that loving your neighbor? We need to stop excusing ourselves through grace, through the blood of Jesus. We need to stop being the excuse for others to act the way they are acting because they are following our example. We can lie, cheat, belittle and gossip. We can curse, yell, be angry and boastful. Or we can be like Jesus…

Revival part 2

Revival part #2

For a couple of thousand years God has been waiting, patiently for our flesh to catch up to the gospel. He has shown us signs and wonders, sent great prophets and apostles and yet we are not much farther along than we were back then. He wrote a book, a mighty book of how we should be, how we are to treat each other, how we are suppose to act, we don’t fall short, we fail! We title up, listen to everyone who falls inline with what we say and proclaim we have all the answers. On the other side, we disclaim and deny those who see different than we do. God once gave me a vision of all of us being like a puzzle, a 3D puzzle. He was stacking us upon each other and it was creating a body, the body! Not one more important than the other. It did not matter your title or years of awakened. We all fit where He needed us to fit. He also allowed me to see a giant connect the dots board, as the board came closer, the dots were people, the lines went back and forth, person to person, miles away and the ones close together too. Sometimes the line would just bounce between two people or three. These connections were important to this move, this “revival” that is happening. We tag this move with a name, we feel the need to call it something and go after it like a fumbled football. There is no fumbled football here. There is no mistake made by God. He has shown us through Jesus and twelve, then a hundred and then even more what to do. What do we do with that, we look at ourselves as being the one, our group as being the group who is going to bring this thing home. We are going to pick up the ball and be the hero. There are no heroes here, no one person, no MVP except for God! It is for His glory, not ours! No matter what platform you stand on, it isn’t yours alone to figure this out. We are a body for a reason. You can’t walk without both feet, both ankles, both calves, you get the point.

God has shown me lots of things in the past few years, the increase in the past year or so has been sometimes overwhelming. I felt unworthy at times, have been told so by others. I have seen so many grow, I have seen some who have awakened yesterday, getting visions today. We just need to follow the blueprint! God said to me a couple of days ago, read the Book of James and know it. Then go back and read the Gospels. I believe that wasn’t just for me. As I am writing this He said “don’t just read it, apply it. If what you are hearing doesn’t line up with what you are seeing, be cautious of the motives.” Woah!!

We are, each and every one of us important in this move. We all have a roll in it. But I can tell you from experience, if He calls and you don’t respond, He calls another. You can’t stop Him, you can’t slow Him down, He moves as He wants to. Do what He asks, listen close to what He is saying. “He who has ears let him hear”. He speaks through us in so many ways, tune in, pay attention! Those awakened, those who are not, those who haven’t yet, He speaks through them all! There is so much we don’t know, so much that blows right by us, because we lean on our own understanding. What we are supposed to be doing is resting in His understanding. If you are awakened, it’s time to truly wake up. If you are not yet awakened, listen close, you will be! Let love flow, live the Book of James, be as Jesus is, He said “Follow Me”. He is the straight path, He is the way, He is the light! He was, is and will always be the answer!

Revival is not a person or a place. It’s not a destination on a map or the teaching of man. It is a heartfelt mindset of living in the righteousness of Jesus. It’s not just speaking of it, it’s not just believing it is coming because someone’s prophetic words. It is believing with your whole heart that a move of God is here! Not that it is coming, that it is here! It is not preparing for it, it’s not, let’s get our ducks in a row so we are ready. No, it’s meeting God where He is and jumping on board! We are not the controller of this move, He is. We are not to just speak of it, but take action! The blueprint was made in the very first revival, when Jesus walked the earth! He brought revival, He revived the true love of God in His people! He didn’t just speak of it, He lived it! He did what the Father did! Not what He himself wanted. He didn’t have to strive, make a way or do anything other than do what God was doing! We all miss the mark, we all want to take control of our destiny and be all that we can be. What we are supposed to be doing is being all we can be in Him, doing what He is doing and doing what He has called us to do. We are Spirits sent here to love, sent here to awaken in ourselves first and then awaken each other to the pure love that is God! God can and will move, with or without us/you. Prophecy are just words of what can be, not what is. We have to act upon those words in a Godly way. We have to move as He wants us to, not how we want to. Our tongues are a double edge sword, they can cut to destroy or speak to the love of God! If it is righteous, if it is pure it is of Him, it is Him! Grace be in all we do! In all we DO, not just what we say. This is moving with God! My friends, make no mistake, revival is here, it is happening! We must remove the blinders that is keeping us held back from our purpose, from our destiny. It’s time to leap in to faith, to stop thinking it, stop talking it and start acting it! This is what I keep hearing.

Thank you Jesus!

Generational Curses

Generational Curses

God spoke to me the other day about generational curses. He said there is a misconception on what this means. It is not an actual curse but a mindset handed down from family member to family member. It is a teaching of a familiar way of being. Not just spoken, but in actions. It becomes comfortable to act this way, to hand these things down to the next person or persons in line. The kicker is, even if we know it is not righteous, we do it anyway. We find justification in it, because those before us did it. Comfort in familiarity.

Here is the bombshell that He showed me…

We are all one in Him, this makes us all family. These “curses” are not just in our blood families, but in all relationships. Leaders to leaders, boss to employees, Pastors to Pastors, ministers to the body. What has been shown to us by the people we believe to have our best interests in mind, could actually be sending us in a misdirected path. There intentions are not to harm us, but the mindset of familiarity exists in them. They have it all locked up in a nice box, believing with all their hearts this is the way it’s done. It is not totally their fault, but it is their responsibility to break it. When Jesus spoke the words of “I only do what I see the Father doing” this is what He was speaking of. If we are following that blue print, we are to be rebellious to these laws and rules. Jesus did not say, well these guys over here have it all figured out, so let’s all follow them. No, He said wait a minute, is that the Father? Is that what He is doing?

I heard a Pastor once say, it doesn’t matter how long you’ve been in ministry, we can still get caught up in our own way of thinking. This is the curse! Our own way of thinking… Those words are powerful, God repeated them to me this morning. He said very clearly, have Grace, because they do not know what they are doing. Even if we see it, doesn’t mean they do. It also means they may not accept it from you. Have grace and love for them anyway. Jesus was standing fight in front of the Pharisees sand they didn’t see or hear them either.

As believers, we have to pay attention when God is speaking to us. It can come from anywhere, anything and anyone. (He spoke through a donkey after all). We have to be open all the time. We have to see it when it comes, we cannot get locked in to our own mindset of what we were taught.

God is doing a new thing, it is not like anything we have seen before. There are people front running these things. Pay attention, listen and seek God before dismissing them. The box of the generations before us are been busted wide open. The religious mindsets of things are done this way, my way and the way we have been taught are gone. A new thing is a new thing! The disciples saw this thousands of years ago. Why do we find it so hard today? Because in those thousands of years, through the generations of not just blood family, but our whole family, we have been shown that it’s this way.

Let us look to Him and see what He is doing! Let us truly seek Him with all our hearts and break loose from the familiar mindset. Let’s embrace what He is doing, let’s trust Him and His ways. He is in everything, in everyone and through you, He going to do a new thing!

Thank you a Jesus!

Are We Who We Say We Are?

Who am I? I am the man that when Jesus looked upon me said, he is worthy of my suffering!

Those who believe that the adversary carry’s power over that blood live a lie. That is this mindset of lack, this blind spot excuse of I don’t know what I’m doing! Check your heart my brothers and sisters!! For as you speak so should you act and you will act!! Woah!! Jesus!! We can no longer stand up and say, well it’s ok because I am forgiven. This is the enemy mindset. I can treat people how I wish, I can lie, gossip and fabricate. I can misrepresent the very thing, the very one that gave me freedom and use His forgiveness as an excuse! Forgiveness and freedom is not a license to do on to each other as we see fit. It is not a safety net we get to fall back into when we purposely hurt each other. It is not ok to seek our own comfort and destroy another!

““Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.””

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭22:36-40‬ ‭NIV‬‬

So love as you love yourself? Do you wish to inflict pain on yourself? Do you? Do you want to spread vicious things, lies and accusations about yourself to others? Then why would you feel it’s ok to do that to someone else? Where is Jesus in that? Where is God’s perspective? A mistake is a mistake, but malicious intent is what it is. Once you speak it into the world, it now exists! See the truth before it leaves your mouth.

We can’t stand up and say, I am this… then turn around and purposely act a different way. I can’t say, I believe in the blood, I believe in the power and I have it too, then give into a enemy mindset. I can’t say that freedom exists here, be you, then revoke it when someone does something that I don’t like, that I don’t except. I say let them walk that out, just as I had to walk that out. I will never believe that publicly shaming someone is Jesus! I will not ever believe that humiliation is a cure, it’s control. I will never believe that control is an answer to anything.

‬‬ “Jesus gave them this answer: “Very truly I tell you, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.”

‭‭John‬ ‭5:19‬ ‭NIV

Jesus didn’t say, you do what I want. He didn’t say this makes me comfortable so do it how I want. He said, I do what He does, love them through this! We throw scripture at each other and say do this, but we don’t live it! We speak of how to do it, but do something else. We cannot be that blind that we don’t see it. The truth is we ignore our own shortcomings in this and claim ignorance, claim freedom in this ignorance. The truth is we let ourselves off the hook by claiming forgiveness will make it ok. It is not ok!

For years the church has wounded people. It stands under this very law if ignorance. It believes that it is righteous. It believes that it can speak it, but not live it. It says all the right things, but behind the scenes it lacks in integrity, in honor and in truth.

Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing.” And they divided up his clothes by casting lots.”

‭‭Luke‬ ‭23:34‬ ‭NIV‬‬

He wasn’t talking about us who believe in Him. He was talking about those who couldn’t see Him. Those who didn’t believe in Him. Those who couldn’t see Him through their own ignorance of belief! The Pharisees saw only themselves, saw only what they wanted, saw what they had to lose, earthly things. They did not see what the Father wanted. Once again, we cannot say this and do this. We cannot proclaim we are freedom, love, truth and relational if we are not representing those things. We cannot be the hypocrites that Jesus had to face. We can’t stand there acting like we don’t see what we are doing, claim we are blind. We have the blueprint! We have the book that they didn’t have! We can’t preach the Word and then live in ignorance from the Word.  We as disciples as apostles, teachers, pastors, prophets and evangelist don’t have the same excuse as the Pharisees. We have the New Testament. The teachings of the greatest Teacher. It is a lie if we claim we are blind to our own selfishness, our own agenda coming into play. God will show you these things, He will tell you through your own words and through others. If we really want to reach people, to save others and to truly be who we are called to be, then we have to be who Jesus is…

God said this to me a couple of days ago and today I see it’s full meaning.

There is a difference between loving yourself and being “in love” with yourself. One is righteous the other is idolatry. Check your ego at the gate before you enter the kingdom.
